Making a Will

The decision to make a Will is probably one of the most important you will make. Only by making a Will is it possible to plan with certainty what will happen to your property and affairs after death.

Here at Merryweather Williams, we have considerable experience in dealing with both financial and personal affairs that need to be assured through the creation of a Will. All of our Wills are drawn up in accordance with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Code of Practice and we are therefore adept at listening to your wishes and producing a final Will that reflects your precise needs.

Whilst you can never guarantee what the future holds, we will work with you to consider a wide range of possible future circumstances and provide you with expert advice that ensures your assets and family are taken care of when you are no longer here.

We can assist you with:

  • The drafting and execution of a Will
  • Inheritance Tax advice
  • Potential claims against your estate
  • Trusts for your spouse, children or other beneficiaries
  • Estate planning
  • Consideration of care home fees
  • Guardians for your children
  • Funeral wishes
  • Insurance policies
